Bob Schnell, MA, LADC, CADC , AADC
Bob has a Masters Degree in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden’s Graduate School of Addiction Studies. He has counseled adult men and women in Twelve Step Recovery in Minnesota and Pennsylvania since 2007.
Prior to entering the field of addiction treatment, Bob worked in public education and commercial insurance. He is married and has a grown daughter. There is alcoholism on several branches of his family tree. Prior to his current 19 years of continuous sobriety, Bob completed 6 stays at residential treatment facilities and 1 stay at a sober house. Bob will tell you, “I fought this as hard as I could, until I finally decided to just do what I was told in the 12 Step Rooms. Then everything changed.”
Bob got sober in 1994 and he has modeled the curriculum for One Twelve on Motivational Interviewing and the 12 Step Program of AA/NA. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide have achieved long term sobriety through the 12 Step Program, and it is easily the most successful recovery program for substance addiction in existence today. Bob uses his clinical experience with addicts, in combination with the time-tested principles of AA, to help clients in “developing a manner of living which demands rigorous honesty”. (AA text, P.58) His specialty is the adult with multiple treatment experiences.
